ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

Located in Alliston, Ontario, KD Wray Professional Corporation is a full-service accounting firm. Our firm provides business consulting, financial advisory services, succession planning and assurance services to a wide number of owner-operated businesses in Southern Ontario. We employ several seasoned chartered accountants and other competent accounting staff to fulfill the needs of our clientele. The practice has been in existence for over 20 years and we have evolved during that time to provide quality services to clients in all stages of business and life.
We are currently looking for a full-time Accounting Technician.
Responsibilities:
Regular bookkeeping for external clients including remittances
T4/T5 preparation
Personal tax return preparation
Small year ends
Maintaining regular contact with clients and taxation authorities (CRA) to complete all routine formalities from an accounting perspective
Providing assistance with ad-hoc reports as required
Any other accounting related duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
3- 5 years of professional or financial services accounting experience
Extensive knowledge of Sage 50, Quickbooks desktop and online
Fully proficient with MS Office
Strong organizational and time management attributes
Quick learner, tech-savvy
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, and strong telephone skills with an emphasis on professional customer service
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to analyze and resolve numerical problems
Knowledge of iFirm software an asset
Must be able to communicate effectively with internal staff and work in a team-focused environment
Ability to work overtime as needed
